At the annual 2023 National Association of Minority Automobile Dealers (NAMAD) membership meeting, Jay Rivchin, a member of the FADA Board, was among four distinguished figures in the automotive industry who received the coveted Lifetime Achievement Award presented by the organization. Rivchin currently serves as the dealer principal and president of Dadeland Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram, South Miami Alfa Romeo Fiat, both located in Miami, Florida, and Homestead Hyundai Genesis in Homestead, Florida.
This prestigious award, which acknowledges a lifetime of significant contributions to the automotive sector and an unwavering commitment to diversity and inclusion, was conferred upon Rivchin during NAMAD’s 43rd annual membership gathering held in Miami from October 10th to 13th, 2023. The recipients of this accolade are carefully chosen by the NAMAD Board of Directors.
Rivchin embarked on his automotive journey in 1979, commencing at Dadeland Dodge shortly after relocating to Miami from South Korea. He initiated his career as a salesperson and ascended to the position of general sales manager. Following a brief interlude at another dealership, he returned to Dadeland as the general manager and part-owner. In 2002, Rivchin assumed full ownership and expanded his footprint by acquiring two additional dealerships.
In expressing his gratitude for the Lifetime Achievement Award, Rivchin humbly stated, “I am deeply honored to receive this lifetime achievement award, though I want to emphasize that I’m only at the beginning of my journey. My aspirations and foremost priorities revolve around nurturing the NAMAD Next Generation and enhancing dealership opportunities for the minority community.”
Rivchin currently serves on the FADA and NADA Board of Directors. He has been an executive board member of NAMAD since 2010 and has also assumed an executive board role within the South Florida Automobile Dealers Association and the Chrysler Minority Dealer Association.
Warmest congratulations to Jay Rivchin for the well-deserved honor.
